The father of radio host Tom Joyner died Sunday

 According to BlackAmericaWeb.com, Hercules L. Joyner passed away at his home in Dallas, Texas.  He was 89.   Joyner spent much of his career as an administrator at the V.A. Hospital in Tuskegee, Ala.   The Joyner family asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Joyner Foundation, which benefits students at historically black colleges. No funeral arrangements were announced Monday.
   Tom Joyner was scheduled to broadcast his 'Sky Show' from the BJCC in Birmingham Friday morning as part of the Magic City Classic weekend.
